Career Nirnaya ("we", "us", "our") operates a career counseling and psychometric assessment platform for students. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
When a student or parent registers for an account or redeems an access code, we collect:
We also automatically collect basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) through standard web server logs and session handling, used only to operate the site securely.
To generate the written, personalized portions of a career report, select assessment responses and basic profile details (such as name and stream) may be processed using Google's Gemini AI API. This processing is used solely to produce the student's own report and is not used to build advertising profiles or sold to third parties.
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information in these circumstances:
Many of our users are students under the age of 18. We intend for a parent or guardian to be aware of and involved in a minor's registration and use of the platform, and we encourage parents to review assessment reports together with their child. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information without appropriate parental awareness, please contact us using the details below and we will take appropriate action.
We retain account and report data for as long as the account is active or as needed to provide our services. Raw, per-question assessment answers used to generate a report are not retained longer than necessary to produce that report; the resulting report itself is retained so it can be accessed again from the student dashboard.
We use cookies for essential site functionality such as keeping you signed in and protecting forms from cross-site attacks. See our Cookie Policy for details.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encrypted password storage and access-controlled admin accounts — to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or ask us to restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
In accordance with applicable Indian data protection law, a Grievance Officer can be reached for privacy-related complaints at: [Grievance Officer name and email to be added before launch].
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
